Engineering Department
Handles the city’s infrastructure improvements which includes water, sewer and storm systems and the roadway system and all of its appurtenances. The engineering department works closely with the Director of Public Works for the planning and scheduling of projects.
The Engineering Department will prepare studies and design plans that met current federal, state and city standards, establish contracts with local contractors to perform these infrastructure projects.
During construction the engineering department will perform inspections to verify compliance with plans and bid documents.
Engineering will also performs reviews of infrastructure improvements for new residential and commercial developments and utility permits to ensure conformance with City ordinances.
