Tina Oberlin was elected in 2007 to her first full-term. Oberlin was on the Planning Commission when she was appointed to a partial term as Alderwoman in 2006.

Personal Life
Oberlin is a divorced mother of one son. She lives in the Crest Acres Subdivision. She grew up in the Lidice area of Crest Hill.

Oberlin is a graduate of Chaney and Monge Schools and Lockport High School.
